Sean “Diddy” Combs’ fondness for cheeseburgers has surfaced multiple times during his ongoing sex-trafficking and racketeering trial. In the second week of the Manhattan federal proceedings, one of Combs’ former personal assistants recounted how he craved cheeseburgers from a well-known Los Angeles diner shortly before a near-gunfight involving rival Suge Knight in 2008.
Another former assistant revealed Diddy’s quirky preference for his cheeseburgers—he enjoys them with a generous helping of applesauce. When questioned, George Kaplan, the ex-assistant, confirmed Combs’ love for applesauce, mentioning he often has it on the side or on top of various dishes, including cheeseburgers.
Unfortunately, this Memorial Day, Combs won’t satisfy any cheeseburger cravings as he remains incarcerated at a federal detention center in Brooklyn. On trial days, he is escorted back and forth from the Metropolitan Detention Center to the courthouse.
While incarcerated, Combs and other inmates will be served a Memorial Day lunch featuring BBQ chicken, kidney beans, and macaroni and cheese, but it won’t include his beloved applesauce, which is absent from the menu. Instead, inmates have the option to purchase barbecue sauce and soy sauce from the commissary.
The music mogul’s trial is anticipated to continue for several more weeks. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies the allegations of sexual abuse, facing the possibility of life in prison if convicted.
